about the film
The Death Note manga sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and created a massive fan following. The story has finally been adapted into two live-action feature films. As in Part 1, Light Yagami, the charismatic hero, is up against L, the eccentric boy wonder. Misa Amane also reappears, but this time her character has more complexity. Once again, the Red Hot Chili Peppers –big fans of the series- have allowed their music to be used. Death Note: The Last Name is almost more shocking than the first film.
Who will die and who will live? As attempts to catch Kira become more elaborate, Light makes a daring move. He devises a way to be part of the 'Kira Task Force' with his identity concealed. But L has been waiting for this opportunity. Light and L finally meet and their psychological duel enters a new phase. In Death Note: The Last Name, the mystery will finally be solved.
