Scott Walker: 30 Century Man

He really should be recognized as not only one of our great composers but great poets as well. His lyrics are absolutely peerless I think.

about the film

One of rock music’s most iconic figures, Scott Walker went from superstardom in the 60s as part of The Walker Brothers to a popular solo career which included standards from Burt Bacharach and Jacques Brel, and then disappeared. Producing one record a decade, Walker lives shrouded in mystery but maintains a roster of adoring fans such as Sting, Radiohead, Jarvis Cocker, Johnny Marr and Brian Eno, all of whom appear in this documentary along with Walker himself. Scott Walker: 30 Century Man is a rare glimpse into creative genius and the life of a man who chooses to live quietly pushing the frontiers of musical exploration.
