about the film

The year is 2077. Protesting a United Nations ban on the development of bio-technology, Japan decided ten years ago to withdraw into isolation. The ruling powers have completely blocked the islands with an ultra magnetic field which prevents anyone from seeing what is going on inside, as well as people travelling in or out of the country. Fearing that Japan has now taken its creation of androids to a potentially devastating extreme, the US government decides to send in a crack team of fighters to hook up with Japanese underground rebels and find out what's going on. Enter Vexille, a female special agent, to head the team. From the creators of the acclaimed Appleseed (2004), Vexille presents a harsh critique of nationalism and human greed while also employing the latest CG and special effects techniques to create a thrilling action film.
